Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Cue Monitor iPad and iPhone app, the Cue Monitor server (the macOS app and the Docker package) and this product page on riegergeri.com. The developer is Rieger Gergő, an independent developer in Hungary. Contact: gergo@riegergeri.com.

Cue Monitor is a show tool that runs on your own equipment. The app only communicates with a Cue Monitor server on your local network. There is no user account, no login, no cloud sync and no remote database.

• No personal data is collected. This includes names, email addresses, device identifiers and location.
• No analytics or ad tracking in the app or in the server.
• The server sends nothing to the internet. Its traffic stays on the local network: the HTTP and SSE connection that feeds the displays, the Bonjour announcement (_pyromonitor._tcp), Art-Net timecode if you select it as the source, and OSC messages to your lighting console, cue light or Companion if you turn them on. The grandMA3 setup plugin is downloaded by the console from your own server.
• The microphone is used for timecode only. The server reads SMPTE (LTC) timecode from the audio signal. Nothing is recorded or stored, and the audio is not sent anywhere.

Everything stays on your own machine and your own device. The developer has no access to any of it.

• On the server machine: the timecode exports and cue lists you load, the notes attached to cues, offset overrides, the button grid layout, the material usage counters, and the fire and operations logs. These are plain files in the server's data folder (Application Support for the macOS app, the ./data volume for Docker).
• On the iPad or iPhone: the display settings (flash, haptics, timeline zoom) and the addresses of the servers you used last, so the app can reconnect by itself.

You can clear all of it. Logs and counters reset from the interface, the files can be deleted by hand, and removing the app deletes the settings on the device.

The app is free. Optional subscriptions (Basic, Pro, Advanced) are sold through the App Store and only raise the number of displays your own server serves at once. Apple handles the transaction. The developer never sees your payment details, name or address, and only receives sales figures from Apple that cannot be traced to a buyer.

With an active subscription, your server checks the App Store receipt locally before it raises the device limit. The check confirms that the receipt is genuine and current. It is not used to identify you.

This page is part of riegergeri.com. The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and its visitor counter stores no personal data. How the website handles data, including server logs, is described in the website privacy policy.

The app and the server process no personal data, so no GDPR processing is attached to them. Data processing on the website is covered by the website privacy policy.

Cue Monitor is a professional show tool with no social features, no user content and no data collection. It is not directed at children.

If a future version changes anything described here, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Analytics will not be added. Since nothing is collected, a later policy has no earlier data it could apply to.
